The Project

For over twenty-five years the team at Premier Printing, with the help of a student based work force, has produced agendas in the summer season. What is an agenda? The agenda is a day planner designed specifically to help today’s students prepare for the future and stay organized. The agendas are shipped to schools all across Canada - you might use an agenda that our team produced last year! We need to complete approximately 2 million agendas from May to August. Completing thousands of agendas in the tight time frame is always a challenging task. But we are proud of our past successes and look forward to doing even better this season!seasonal graphic

Students! We Are Now Hiring For Our Summer Production Season!

As production volumes allow, we try to have our first group of students (usually from colleges and universities) working by the middle to end of May. Through the production season the hours vary, but we usually run shifts as follows:

Mid May – End of June

One shift at approximately 8 hours a day
.

Early July – Mid August

Two shifts (one day and one night) running at approximately 9 hours a day.

Mid August – End of August

Shifts run as needed; in a strong season we go to one shift, in an extended season we continue to run two shifts.

Our shifts rotate each week, which means one week you would be working a day shift, the next week a night shift. (Applicants should be aware that season starts, finishes, and shift times are subject to change.)

The Positions


Our summer production positions include a range of tasks within a print and bindery environment. There are positions available in equipment operations, quality control, product binding, product packaging, and inventory control.

The People


The success of the season is heavily dependent on the strength of our team. We strive to bring together a focused and efficient crew, while at the same time creating a fun and pleasant work environment. Some recruits have been part of the “family” for over five years. We enjoy renewing old acquaintances and getting to know our new team members each year.
